Problems With My Camera!

So, last night I put some pictures on my CRAFTS BLOG and the light came on showing that the battery was low.  I had problems with the battery when I first bought the camera, because they gave me the wrong one.  When I went back and gave them back the battery they gave me a new one that fit the camera, which was already charged, so this was the first time I needed to charge it.

Unfortunately, the charger was for the OTHER battery, which didn’t fit in MY camera, so I couldn’t charge the battery!  I was SO frustrated.  Eric volunteered to take the battery and the charger back to CIRCUIT CITY with the receipts and get me the right charger.

Of course they didn’t have it and they suggested that he go to RADIO SHACK, which he did, but RADIO SHACK doesn’t sell CANON accessories.  Isn’t it frustrating that every brand makes their accessories a little different, so you can’t use any other brand?

So, Eric went BACK to CIRCUIT CITY and they told him I had two options:  1. Get a refund; or 2. Return this camera and buy another one, which will be more expensive.

I told Eric I wanted a THIRD option: Get a more expensive camera FOR THE SAME PRICE.  So, I’m going to go on Saturday and give them a hard time.  After all, I bought a floor model, but they were supposed to give me everything that went with it.  First, I had to go back because they gave me the wrong battery.  Now I find out they ALSO gave me the wrong battery charger!  It’s very frustrating.  Eric told them that I use the camera for work and I’m losing money (my smart man).  So, I’ll let you all know what happens and meanwhile – NO CAMERA!

Work today was pretty busy, although I did get to read more of my book, which is very compelling.  It’s too bad a lot of it isn’t true, but it’s still got me wanting more!  I’ll probably finish it by Friday.

I worked on my “new project” today, too, but after about an hour my eyes started to cross, so I had to stop.  It seemed like my boss was in conference calls all day long, so I didn’t really do that much for him.  He’ll be in the rest of the week, too, but he’s going on vacation next week to NEW YORK (I’m SO jealous!).

When I got home I was exhausted and I made us edamame and started watching Dr. Phil, but I fell asleep.  Eric woke me at 7:00pm and I made us NUTRISYSTEM pizzas and a salad.  Then, I watched THE BIGGEST LOSER, and then Eric and I watched AMERICAN IDOL.  I love when he watches with me.

I can’t believe tomorrow is Thursday already.  It amazes me how fast the weeks fly by.  Too fast, I think.  I try to enjoy each day, because I know my days here in San Diego are numbered, but I want them to last and they’re really not.  I know that before we know it we’ll be leaving.  It makes me sad, but I’m also really excited about Asheville, too, and I’m PRAYING that it works out.  I just found out about a fabulous place called the PENLAND SCHOOL OF CRAFTS, which is right outside Asheville.  I remember reading about this place years ago and telling Eric that I wanted to go there!  Now, we may end up living right nearby!

I did some research this afternoon on hotels, but it ends up that the ones in the city are just too expensive.  So, we’re probably going to stay in a cheap place by the airport.  After all, it’s not about hanging out in the hotel room.  It’s about Eric riding and me driving around, getting to know Asheville.  So, all we really need is a clean bed and a clean bathroom!  I just can’t see paying $200 a night for the luxury of walking to all the stores/shopping/museums/galleries.  I’m not going to be there as a tourist, anyway.  We’re there to see about living there!

The red satin fabric I purchased on ebay for my table at the CRAFT SHOW arrived today.  It’s GORGEOUS.  I’m going to bedazzle the parts of it that hang off the table (with the lovely Bedazzler that Jimmy won for me!) and it will sparkle before people even get to my booth!  The CRAFT MAFIA sent around an email saying that they want everyone’s tables to look BEAUTIFUL and PROFESSIONAL and want everyone to have tablecloths, so you don’t see bags and boxes underneath.  I think that’s great and I’m sure all the crafty people will come up with fabulous booths, too.  I can’t wait!
