The Lovely San Diego North Park Craft Mafia!

Eric and I were awoken at 9:00am by the guy who practices his drums maybe once a month.  I can’t believe the manager complained that I played my music too loud – on a Sunday afternoon – and here was this guy DRUMMING at 9:00am!!!!  I just think that’s rude and selfish.

The first thing we did was watch last night’s SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE.  The highlight was the skit with Hilary Clinton and Obama, followed by an appearance by the REAL Hilary!  She did a great job.  I hate to talk politics on my blog, but I’d really like to see her become our next president!

After watching SNL, I made us NUTRISYSTEM breakfasts and then I jumped in the shower to go to the craft show.  I was excited to meet the girls who would be selling there, and the girls who are the founding members.

I had previously emailed them and asked about selling at their next big show, and I am thrilled to report that I will be selling my jewelry mosaics and decoupage pieces at their SPRING LINE UP on Sunday, March 30th, along with 59 other vendors!  I was so lucky to get in, because it seems everyone wants to be in this craft show.  They told me there were people ahead of me on the waiting list, but because my work is so different they would put me in!  They had never seen anything like my work before and were really impressed.  That just about made my YEAR!

I have put lots and lots of pictures and a summary of the whole show on my CRAFTS BLOG, so please check it out!

After I left the craft fair, I drove immediately to La Jolla to pick up my pieces from Gili Anna.  She was SO understanding and supportive and proved just what a lovely, sweet person she is!  I was thrilled to hear that she sold 4 pieces – including the larger round mirror, two small mirrors and the pink commissioned piece (which she purchased for herself!).  I brought home 4 other small mirrors and a small silver frame, so I now have 5 pieces to add to my collection for the show on March 30th!

When I got home, Eric was just leaving to go for a ride.  I had a fast lunch and then went food shopping.  When I got home I was exhausted, so I took a nap.  When Eric came home he relaxed for a while and woke me at 7:30pm.  I made us NUTRISYSTEM entrées and soup for dinner and then worked for almost THREE HOURS on my crafts blog, downloading all the pictures, and writing about all the beautiful things I saw today.

I just have one more thing to discuss, and then I really must hit the sack!

I have read a few books recently and I’m not interested in keeping books I’ve already read and, since my sister gave them to me in the first place, I think it would be great to pass the books on to someone else who may be interested in reading them.  If anyone who’s reading this is interested in THE RED TENT, I KNOW THIS MUCH IS TRUE, or FOR ONE MORE DAY (which I bought in NY and read when we first got here), just email me and I’ll send any or all of them to you!  It will be that much less to ship when we go to NC!
