Tired -- so, so Tired!

Last night I went to bed at 9:30pm.  Eric couldn’t believe it when he came in the bedroom and found me out like a light.  Unfortunately, I woke up before the alarm and couldn’t fall back to sleep.  Then, when the alarm went off I had to snooze, snooze, and snooze before I could drag myself out of bed.  Of course, as I always say, by the time I hit the bathroom I was wide awake, but those first few feet…

My boss was still in NY today, so it was pretty quiet, but one of the other guys gave me a project cleaning out two file drawers in his office.  He’s very sweet, very appreciative of everything I do, and he likes that I’m so organized.  I got everything neat and arranged in box-bottom pendaflex folders.  If you don’t know what that is, it’s a hanging file system with an extra-wide bottom to hold lots and lots of papers!

Then, I continued to work on my “special project” which he also assigned to me.  I’m almost done with that.  I was determined to have it finished by Friday, since I may not be back.

I didn’t get to go food shopping this weekend, so I bought soup and salad for lunch ($4.85) and had a nice lunch while reading my book.  It’s nothing thrilling, this book, just little 5-10 page stories of inspiration.  I’m enjoying it, but I’d rather be reading something that I can really get into!

I was so happy that the three girls from the office who came to the craft show on Sunday were talking to the other girls about how much fun they had, what a great show it was, and how much they liked my work.  One girl bought a piece from me (a small compact with a faux coral brooch on top) and brought it to work to show all the girls!  They said they wanted me to bring my stuff to work, so we made plans for me to drive on Friday and set up in the back of the PT.  They will all come down at lunchtime to see my stuff and perhaps buy something, too.

They spread the word and when I drove home with my co-worker, she said that she heard I was bringing my crafts to work on Friday.  She works on the 3rd floor and I work on the 6th, so news travels fast!

I was supposed to see the acupuncturist today, and I got right in the car to drive to HILLCREST as soon as I got dropped off.  I turned my phone on and saw I had a message, so I decided to listen before I drove off.  It was him telling me he had to cancel.  Good thing I listened first!  We rescheduled for Wednesday at 6:00pm.

Eric went food shopping for me today, which I REALLY appreciated, but he’s not very good at it.  He doesn’t read labels like I do, so he bought juice that’s loaded with sugar, and couldn’t find some of the veggies I like to buy to put in our salads or soups.  I do appreciate not having to go after work, so it’s no big deal.  I told him not to buy too much anyway, since we don’t want to leave any food in the fridge when we leave in a week.  Everything must go, because we’ll be gone almost 2 weeks.

I can’t believe we’re finally leaving for Florida and North Carolina a week from today!  We’re both very excited.  When I came home tonight, Eric was packing his big duffel bag with all his bicycle stuff.  He went through and organized it and figured out what he should take and what he shouldn’t take.  He’s contacted a bicycle shop in Asheville about renting a bike for a week, and he’s excited about riding in Charlotte, too.  He’s just a happy boy, my Eric, and that’s what I like to see!

Tomorrow my boss will be back, but I’ve only got 4 days left in this office until vacation (and maybe forever!), so nothing will bother me.  I can deal with ANYTHING for four days!

Tonight I downloaded all the pictures from Saturday and Sunday onto my computer and resized and rotated all the pictures, so they’re ready for my CRAFTS BLOG, but I may not get to it tonight.  I’ll write here to let you know when you can go to my CRAFTS BLOG to check it all out!

I spoke to my sister, Audrey, tonight.  She's so sweet.  We talked about our trip and she's very excited and supportive of us.  I told her I was very nervous, because there have been so many delays and cancellations with all the flights lately.  She said we shouldn't worry, because it's not like we're going to Florida or North Carolina for a specific event (like a wedding).  So, if we get delayed or cancelled, we won't miss anything.  We'll eventually get where we're going and shouldn't stress about it.  She's so smart!  I love her.

I must go, because Eric and I are going to watch DANCING WITH THE STARS together.  We love that show!
