I have nothing thrilling to report today (not that I do every other day). I went to work, completed some projects, read a little of my book (whee!), sent a package off to Geneva for the meeting next week, and trained for 3 hours this afternoon.
It is a good thing I’m not training for the other job in the morning and training someone in the afternoon, because I’m exhausted by the time she leaves at 3:00pm. It’s not that what I’m doing is so hard, it’s just taxing to be talking and instructing, and concentrating for 3 hours without stopping. When I’m NOT teaching, she’s telling me all about her new boyfriend.
She’s very sweet but, boy, she can talk. I feel a little drained after 3 hours with her. Now I know how some people feel after spending a few hours with ME!
It’s also throwing off my whole eating schedule, because I can’t eat lunch before she comes (11:30am is just too early for me), and I can’t start eating a full lunch at 3:00pm, when she leaves. What I’ve ended up doing is having breakfast at 8:00am, as usual, then I’ll have some kind of snack (fruit, a NUTRISYSTEM bar or a bowl of cereal) right before she comes, and then another snack after she leaves (same type of stuff).
I have a snack when I get home, too. Today I had some hummus, chips, and snap peas. Unfortunately, DR. PHIL didn’t record today and I don’t know why. I had a problem with the guide on DVR – there was nothing there, so I rebooted. Nothing happened. So, I rebooted again and it took over ½ hour for the TV to come back on. I had to set my shows to record all over again. This is ridiculous.
I was watching JUDGE JUDY when I fell asleep at 7:00pm and Eric woke me at 8:00pm and made me a NUTRISYSTEM entrée. Then we each had a diet sorbet pop and I watched HELL’S KITCHEN with him, even though I already watched it last night. I knew he wouldn’t watch it on his own, and he enjoys that show, so I watched it again. Oh, the things we do for love!
My boss was supposed to have Jury Duty next week and I’m REALLY hoping he does. First of all, it will be nice because he’s been in the office a lot the last few weeks, and also it will be easier to train when he’s not around. I’m even thinking I may take my trainee out for an excursion to lunch! A working lunch!
Three other people from my group will be in Geneva Thursday and Friday of next week, so it will be VERY quiet if he’s on Jury Duty and they’re away, too. I think that means I’ll get to finish my two DICK FRANCIS mysteries!
