It was really hard to get out of bed this morning. I didn’t go to bed that late, Jay was just starting his monologue and Eric was already asleep when I turned off the TV. I guess it’s a combination of the fact that it’s Friday (whee!) and Eric got up a few times during the night. He drinks so much water during the day that he can’t make it through the night without making a “trip.” TMI? It’s just that I’m such a light sleeper that I always wake up and usually ask him where he’s going. Where ELSE could he be going? I have no idea, but I guess I’m half asleep and think maybe he’s going to make himself a sandwich or something.
Anyway, I had an outfit planned and my lunch ready, so I knew I could snooze an extra time, which gets me out of bed by 6:17am. I’m still dressed, with my full face, by a little after 7:00am anyway! Then, I usually play around on the computer until I get my phone call that my ride is outside. It’s a pretty sweet deal!
I didn’t do one work-related thing today, except read a few emails and answer the phone 2-3 times. That’s IT. EIGHT HOURS. I finished by book by 2:00pm – 318 pages in two days. It was really good. Then, I watched an episode of DANCING WITH THE STARS that I missed. It was great to watch it online at work, because the computer works so great and at home it freezes every few seconds and is VERY annoying to watch. Like I don’t watch enough TV at home, now I’m watching it at WORK!
So, I got paid to read, talk on the phone, watch TV, send and read emails, and read all of YAHOO news and watch YAHOO videos of news stories (which I really enjoy). Did you hear the story by any chance of the BABY SEAL in San Diego who had blue nylon fishing net caught around his neck, but the authorities didn’t want to do anything, because it was against the law to interact with the seals? Two people took it upon themselves, in cloak of darkness, to go out there and – in five minutes – they cut the netting loose and the seal went back into the water. He or she may die anyway, because the injuries from the netting may have been severe, and it was trapped that way for days, but at least now he or she will have a chance! Now, the authorities are considering whether or not to press charges. Stupid laws!
My ride and I cut out a little early, so I was home just a little after 5:00pm. Eric was busy working out, after his bicycle ride. That’s my boy! We had talked about going to COSTCO, but he had a game coming on at 6:00pm, and you know how he feels about his basketball games!!!
I told him not to worry about it. I can go over the weekend, or he can go with me at some point (only because my tennis elbow makes lifting anything heavy so hard, and I do want to get drinks!). He’s going to go mountain biking tomorrow and I told him he could have the car, because I have a lot to do around the apartment. The only thing I have to do is go food shopping and do one load of laundry (Eric did two loads today!).
I made Eric chicken cutlets and fresh broccoli with a sauce made of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, wasabi mayonnaise, mustard, fresh minced garlic, regular mayonnaise and some leftover Tuscan bruschetta, which is a mixture of fresh tomatoes, garlic and basil. I poured it over the broccoli and cutlets and then added a little bread crumbs on top. Eric loves his bread crumbs!
I just had a NUTRISYSTEM entrée (two cheese raviolis) for dinner with some of the broccoli. I watched GHOST WHISPERER and then a special about TV’S ALL TIME FUNNIEST – funniest father, mother, kids, neighbors, bosses, friends. It was really – funny!
Eric fell asleep around 10:30pm and I felt really tired, too, so I finished my blog, but the server was down (AGAIN), so I just went to sleep. I’ve got a lot to do tomorrow, so I need a good night’s sleep!
