I feel so lucky. I love my job. I really love it. I love the people I’m working with, and the fact that I feel I’m making a contribution. I love that people appreciate my efforts and that they want to work with me! I even love a lot of what I’m doing. I am so grateful. I enjoy going to work every day!
This morning I started in KRM. I got a lot of training and then started working on a project accumulating data and populating an Excel spreadsheet. Once I got the hang of the process, the steps to take to find the information and transfer it into the spreadsheet, it was going very quickly. Unfortunately, noon rolled around before I knew it! I told them you never realize how fast four hours can go until you’re only working four hours at one desk.
I left and went downstairs to HR. I read a little and had leftovers from yesterday’s party (as did everyone else in the group). I had more of that delicious salad and some nice cheese, too. Then, I snacked on celery and dip.
I kept pretty busy until about 3:30pm and then I had done everything I needed to do. I went around collecting paper to be shredded and spent the next hour going back and forth shredding, filling up a bag and then shredding some more. I filled two bags and then stopped. The afternoon kind of dragged, because there wasn’t anything else for me to do. I had finished a few projects and would have to wait until tomorrow to get more work.
When I got home Eric and I made some MORNINGSTAR FARMS corn dogs and chicken nuggets. I had purchased this honey mustard at KEILS and we put it on everything. It was REALLY spicy and added a delicious, sweet taste.
I watched the season finale of SHE’S GOT THE LOOK – the reality TV show about women “of a certain age” winning a modeling contract. The woman “who’s got the look” is 45 and has 5 children. She was gorgeous and had a fabulous figure. It was another entertaining reality show. I enjoyed it.
I finished my book – BLACK MAPS. It was really good. I have another of his books to start tomorrow. Then, I’ll be getting back to DICK FRANCIS!
I can’t believe tomorrow is Friday already. This week really flew by and usually the week after a holiday weekend drags. I think this new situation at work is really great for me. I’m working hard, which makes the day fly by.
I got invited to a birthday lunch for one of the guys on the team where I used to work. I thought it was so nice of them to include me, since I don’t work with them anymore! So, I have another nice lunch out at a restaurant to look forward to next Wednesday.
Today is my niece, Stephanie’s birthday. I really miss her – and all my nieces and nephews. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, STEPHANIE!
