I didn’t do much today, except talk on the phone to friends, family and Eric, clean Conrad’s cage (he didn’t enjoy the experience), read, watch TV, and work on the computer, so it’s a good thing I have some great photos to show you. I’m not including pictures of people I work with, because they don’t know about my blog, and I feel kind of funny putting them on the internet without them knowing it, so I’ll just include pictures of the place and the crowds. Enjoy!
I went early, because my ride was on the Social Committee, and she wanted to be sure everything was ready. Here's a picture before the crowds arrived.

Here's another view, after some of the firm's employees started to arrive. They gave out Hawaiian shirts in red, green, and blue to all attendees. A lot of them wore it, but others wanted to show their own style -- including me!

Here's a picture of the beach, which is just a few feet from the Wavehouse, through a gate. You can see it was a perfect Peppy Day -- overcast, yet warm!

There's a boardwalk that separates the Wavehouse from the sand. People are walking, riding, and skating along all day and all night!

Here are some pictures of the pros on the Bruticus Maximus! It's REALLY hard and they say it's more like snowboarding than actual surfing.

There were 2 girls and about 5 guys. They said the women were some of the best in the world -- award-winning competitors. This sport is supposed to be in the 2016 Olympics!

Here's a girl (in red) who is supposed to be one of the best in the world!

You can see it was quite a crowd pleaser! After the pros, the employees got their chance. It was fun to watch them boogie board and surf the wave, although most of them were only there for a few seconds, before they were swept away! They all seemed to have a lot of fun, and as soon as they got out they'd go around and get back on line. Some of them did it for HOURS!

Here's the flowrider, which is a much tamer version for kids, or beginners. They recommended that you "get your feet wet" on this one, before going over to the Bruticus Maxiumus!

Here's the huge indoor pool, which has apparently been there (although renovated) since 1925!

Here are the magnificent arches on Mission Beach (MB).
