Ahhhh! No more roots! At least for a month! My mother, who has been dying her hair blonde for over 40 years, always said “You’re a slave to it.” Boy, was she right! When you gotta go, you gotta go! I feel SO much better right now. Not only are the dark roots gone, but he trimmed it a lot, too, so it’s lighter and not as bushy, which is a relief.
I told him I really want to cut it all off, but my face is too fat now, so when I lose 15 pounds I’m doing it. He said, “Okay! You lose the weight and I’ll cut it all off!” So, now I have an even greater motivation. I do really want to look great for Jessica’s wedding in November, and I certainly have enough party dresses, if I can just fit into one of them!
I am determined to get back down to a more normal weight for my age and height. I know I’ll never be 100 pounds again, but I don’t have to be 130 either!
So, the woman I work with didn’t show up this morning until almost 10:00am, which means I did pretty much nuthin’ until she came in. Then, I did a couple of projects for her, but it was really slow. It was frustrating, because it’s SO busy in HR and I knew I had at least 50 resumes waiting for me to print and process, so I would MUCH rather have spent the morning in HR, but what can you do?
I was invited to a wedding shower of a beautiful Chinese girl I know at work. It was today from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. I certainly would not have stayed for two hours, but I planned to make an appearance – except I completely forgot about it!
I was so busy in HR (and we were having so much fun) that it just slipped my mind. Next thing I knew, one of the people sent pictures from the shower. Oh, well.
One of the girls in HR got engaged and I’m so happy for her. She’s adorable and her fiance works for the firm, too! In fact, I knew him before I knew her! They make a beautiful couple. Her ring is gorgeous and everyone was so happy for her! That’s the third engagement at work and I work with every person! My “morning boss” got engaged last month, the woman I trained for the job I worked at for 5 months just got engaged, and now one of the girls in HR got engaged. Love is in the air – and it’s right around ME!
When Elsa dropped me off I just jumped in the car and drove to Hillcrest. John cut and colored my hair and I got home at 7:30pm. Eric and I just turned around and went out. We walked over to MOUNTAIN MIKE’S PIZZA for dinner. I got the pizza/salad bar combo and Eric got a chicken cutlet parmesan hero. We had a fast dinner and came back to the apartment. I jumped in the shower to get all the hair off me (I hate the way I feel after a haircut) and then started working on the computer.
We’re still working on resolving the title issue and we’re still getting a lot of interest in the RV! According to the NY DMV website, you can actually sell a vehicle with a lien on the title, as long as you give the person buying it the original lien release. So, we don’t REALLY need to get a clean title, if we don’t want to. I just need to find out if the fact that we’re selling in California could complicate matters. If not, then we can sell, give them the title and the lien release and that will be the end of that.
If we DO send the lien release and title back to NY, we’ll have to wait weeks for the clean title to come. I’d really like to avoid that, if we can. We’ll just have to see. I’m calling NY DMV tomorrow to ask about a California sale.
Eric and I watched AMERICA’S GOT TALENT in the living room while I recorded PROJECT RUNWAY and AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL on the DVR in the bedroom. The Fall season is starting and all my shows are coming back! I’m not going to know what to watch first!
