Vote for Stacie (the Top 10 will be decided by tomorrow at noon!!!): MY GRAMMY MOMENT. http://www.cbs.com/specials/grammys/moment/video_player.php?vid=390.
I woke up at 9:00am, called Eric, and then started voting. It’s down to the wire. The results will be announced tomorrow at noon and we’ll know if Stacie made it into the Top 10.
In between votes, I varnished Elsa’s decoupaged picture. When it was dry I put it in the frame. It really came out great and I took some pictures, which I will post on my crafts blog and then put the link here.
I didn’t do much all morning except vote and work around the apartment and I decided to go for a walk to Starbucks in the afternoon. As soon as I got outside I knew I didn’t want to walk to Starbucks. It was SO hot out. It was 77 degrees today, so I decided to drive thru Starbucks and then go down Balboa Avenue to Pacific Beach (about 4 miles) and walk along the boardwalk. It’s not REALLY a boardwalk, because there are no boards – it’s all paved, but I had a great walk anyway.
This group of guys and girls were having a great time, playing bongo drums and moving to the beat!
Everyone was out today. There were lots of sunbathers and some people were even swimming.
These beautiful daisies were growing outside someone's apartment:
There were surfers, and Frisbee players, and football throwers and catchers, and parents with strollers, and people walking their dogs, and lovers holding hands, and people pushing seniors in wheelchairs, and lots of people on bicycles.
This guy was feeding the birds and had a lot of new friends!
There were people sitting outside eating and drinking at some of the restaurants that border the path.
There were skateboarders and inline skaters and even a few old-fashioned roller-skaters.

Yes, everyone wanted to enjoy this beautiful hot January day in San Diego.
This beautiful boy was with his father and grandmother. I asked if I could photograph him, because he just looked so sweet and peaceful. They obliged and here's the result:
I know I’m rubbing it in, for those of you who are freezing on the East coast right now, but remember this: I will be there with you next year, so I HAVE to appreciate EVERY single day I have here in paradise. I have to talk about it, and show you pictures, too!
When I got back from my walk I had just enough time to vote a few times, open my mail and then jump back in the car for my Thursday evening appointment. All went well there and then I came right home again. I spent the rest of the evening voting and watching TV (American Idol, Hell’s kitchen, and some HGTV decorating shows).
Tomorrow I will be leaving the house by 10:30am, because I’m delivering Elsa’s picture to her at work before picking up Tifney for lunch at 11:30am. Then, I will go visit Gili in La Jolla and kill time before I meet up with Rosemary to go furniture shopping and have dinner. Should be a fun day!
