I woke up at around 9:00am, spoke to Eric, and then went back to sleep. I didn’t go to bed until after 2:30am last night. I started watching TITANIC, which was on from 12-4am. I watched up until the bad stuff started happening. I knew I wasn’t staying up for the end, and wasn’t even interested in all the dying and drowning, but I DO love Leo and Kate! What a pair!
I woke up for the second time at 11:00am. That felt good! I got up, put a coat of varnish on the binder, showered, got dressed and headed out to run some errands. First, I put in a load of laundry and drove to STARBUCKS. Then, I came back, put the stuff in the dryer for a few minutes and hung it all up on the line.

Next, I went out again and drove down the block to get the oil changed on the car. Eric had the oil changed right before he left in September, so I was overdue. I brought WICKED with me, so I’d have something to read while I waited, but they were done in about 15 minutes, so I didn’t get much reading done!

I put another coat of varnish on the binder and I went food shopping at KEIL’S. I wanted to check out the vet, which is next door, but they close at 2:00pm on Saturdays and by the time I got all this done it was just 2:00pm. They were still inside, but the door was locked. I guess I’ll go back on Monday.

After putting everything away, I put the last coat on the binder (two coats each on the inside and outside) and started cleaning. I cleaned Conrad’s cage, vacuumed the entire bedroom, dusted my vanity, the two night tables and all the other surfaces, and then proceeded to dust and vacuum all the other rooms.

I cleaned the kitchen and then I cleaned my desk (which is always a challenge) and worked on the computer for a while.

The only thing I’ve left for Monday is the bathroom, which I like to do the “day of.” I watched some TV – some design shows and some shows I had recorded and hadn’t yet had a chance to watch.

So, the apartment looks great, and I’m excited for Artie to see it. I counted today and I only have 41 days left here (if I do, indeed, move and fly back on April 10th which – as of now – is the plan). I told Eric and that made him VERY happy. We all know how fast time flies (whether you’re having fun or not) and 41 days will go by zippity-do-dah fast!

Tomorrow I’m getting picked up by Rosemary and her sister, Lisa at around 3:00pm. We will go to the Clairemont Town Square’s ACE HARDWARE so she can pick out Benjamin Moore paint for her dining room. Lisa also wants to pick out colors for her living room and I’m going to help her with that, too. Then, we’ll go to Convoy Street and have a late lunch/early dinner at a great Chinese restaurant that Rosemary took me to previously.
I’m looking forward to seeing them both. Rosemary is a good friend and is so much fun to be with. I’ve spent some time with her sister, too, and she’s a great girl. So, it should be a wonderful afternoon. I don’t know if it will be as hot tomorrow as it was today (83 degrees!), but I’m going to enjoy it – no matter what! I feel bad that it was so cool when Robin was here (55-65) and now it’s in the 80s, but I think she enjoyed herself even though the weather wasn’t “San Diego Perfect.” In fact, I prefer 65 to 83, but I’d much rather have 83 than 38!!
