It was pouring out today. I mean real, pouring rain! This has been the WEIRDEST two weeks in San Diego. Everybody says so. Even native San Diegans! It’s just that it so rarely rains THIS much for THIS many days – even though there’s sunshine on and off. It’s also cooler than usual.
I had planned to go bowling with Tif and her son and his friends, but it was so rainy and yucky out and I didn’t feel great, and I just decided I didn’t want to go out at all.
I felt bad canceling on Tifney, because she said she needed “adult company” but I just hate running around in the rain, especially if I don’t need to, and I really just wanted to stay home, in my pajamas, and hang around the apartment.
I cleaned up a little, folded laundry, and gazed lovingly at my gorgeous roses which – almost a week later – are still looking SO beautiful! I have so enjoyed having them here all week and Robin loved the two bouquets, too. We would look at them and enjoy them and talk about how sweet and considerate Eric is. My darling!
I was happy Eric was off today, even though all he did was go to BJs to stock up on some items he needed. Even so, it’s nice not to have to get up so early and go to work, isn’t it?
So, here's something that was bothering me all day at home: my toilet keeps running! I noticed it about a week before Robin came, and I decided I wasn't going to do anything about it, because I could just see them having to replace the toilet, or some big, dirty job like that, and I'm leaving in 8 weeks, so I figured I'd just let it go.
Unfortunately, it got worse and worse and now it's SO loud it sounds like a plane taking off! It also starts and stops for no apparent reason. It doesn't just run after you flush. It runs ALL the time -- all day and all night. So, this afternoon I finally called the building manager and left a message. I didn't expect to hear back today, since it's a holiday, but we'll see what happens tomorrow.
Meanwhile, in addition to the annoying toilet running, my allergies have been so bad today. My nose has been running all day and I’m planning to take two NYQUIL and go to sleep early. I just want my nose to stop running!
My only plans for tomorrow are yoga tomorrow night, but I DO need to do laundry, so I hope at least it stops raining, so I can get that accomplished!
